Hilaria made her DWTS debut in the season 34 premiere with pro partner Gleb Savchenko, dancing a Cha Cha to Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud.”
Alec Baldwin showed up to support her—not only in the audience for the premiere, but also during rehearsals.
During a rehearsal segment, Alec even interrupted and asked “May I cut in?” as a joke, tapping Gleb on the shoulder. Hilaria joked in response, “I think they hired the wrong Baldwin.”

She expressed gratitude for Alec’s presence and support. She said she felt very grateful that her family was there.
As a mom of seven, she spoke about how often mothers put themselves last; being supported like this was meaningful to her.
It was emotional: Hilaria reflected on how she had given up dancing 16 years ago due to a serious hip injury, and she didn’t expect to be back performing. The moment marked something special for her.
She also mentioned how the decision to join DWTS was somewhat last minute, that she moved her family, and navigated the craziness of signing on right before rehearsals. Having Alec there evidently helped ground her.

While supportive, Alec appeared quite serious during parts of her performance—clapping but maintaining a more stoic expression when the dance grew more intimate.
Hilaria seemed fine with that; she noted that his support—being present, cheering, attending rehearsals—was what mattered. She didn’t focus on his facial expressions so much as the fact that he was there for her.

“He’s been wanting me to do this show for a very long time, and he has been very supportive and he’s very happy for this.”

“I’ve supported him through a lot, and I think he’s excited to do this.”

“I think when you try something that’s brand new, it’s a little liberating because you’re like, ‘All right, I’m going to try this,’” she says. “And it’s just that different expectation. As [Gleb] says, I’m very hard on myself. And so, I’m trying to learn to chill out a little bit. And I think I’ve done a better job at relaxing.”
“I said goodbye to this 16 years ago because I broke a hip so to be here with you, it’s just a dream come true.”
“Alec has been trying to have me do this for a very long time,” Hilaria Baldwin said when she was announced as one of the celebrity cast members.

And she jokes: “I’ve broken my hip. I have a thousand children,” referring to why she hadn’t done something like DWTS before now.

Also, regarding rehearsals: “We dance at home. Not quite like this, but I’m up for the challenge.”
“I want to cry!” Hilaria said of what it was like being back on stage and performing, 16 years after breaking her hip and not being able to walk for a year.
