The winning numbers for the massive $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot — one of the largest in the game’s history — were drawn on Saturday, December 20, 2025:

4 – 5 – 28 – 52 – 69 • Powerball: 20 (Power Play 3×) 

This prize ranks as the fifth-largest Powerball jackpot ever, with an estimated cash value of roughly $686 million to $690 million if claimed in a lump sum before taxes. 

The Jackpot Run & Odds

  • The jackpot grew to this enormous level because no ticket matched all six numbers in the prior drawings, extending the streak of rollovers. 

  • Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and are broadcast live from Tallahassee, Florida. 

  • The odds of winning the jackpot remain long — about 1 in 292.2 million — underscoring how rare and hard-to-hit these enormous jackpots are. 

Prize Options

If someone holds the sole winning ticket, they typically have two payout choices:

  • Annuity — Payments over 30 years, rising by ~5% each year.

  • Lump sum cash option — A single payment much lower than the headline amount (around $686–690 million before taxes).

As of now (Sunday morning after the drawing), there has been no official confirmation of a jackpot winner having come forward — which means the prize may still be unclaimed or just not publicly announced yet.
