Unknown Substance Reportedly Found in Britney Spears’ Car During DUI Arrest to Be Tested

Pop superstar Britney Spears is facing renewed controversy after an alleged DUI arrest in California, where authorities reportedly discovered an unknown substance inside her car that is now undergoing laboratory testing. The incident has sparked widespread media attention and renewed concern among fans and family members about the singer’s well-being.

According to reports, the 44-year-old singer was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County after officers observed a vehicle swerving, braking erratically, and driving without taillights along Highway 101 near Westlake Village. 

Police stopped the vehicle around 9:30 p.m., after which Spears was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). She was reportedly booked early the next morning and released a few hours later, according to jail records. 

Authorities also transported Spears to a hospital for blood testing to determine alcohol or drug levels.

During the arrest, law enforcement officers reportedly discovered an unidentified substance inside Spears’ BMW sedan. Investigators have sent the material to a laboratory to determine exactly what it is. 

At this stage, officials have not confirmed whether the substance is illegal or related to drugs, and test results are still pending. The vehicle was impounded and searched again as part of the ongoing investigation.

Some law-enforcement sources also clarified that authorities are examining blood test results to check for drugs or alcohol in her system, meaning the investigation is still active. Following her arrest, Spears reportedly spent several hours in custody before being released around 6 a.m. the next morning. 

She is expected to appear in court on May 4 to face the DUI-related charges stemming from the incident. 

A representative for Spears described the situation as “an unfortunate incident” and said the singer intends to cooperate fully with authorities and take the necessary steps to address the situation. 

The representative also suggested that family members may step in to support the pop star, with loved ones reportedly planning ways to help improve her well-being moving forward.
